Open seasonally, from May to October. Discover 200+ years of northwestern VT history and heritage in the Saint Albans Museum. Admission is FREE thanks to Handy Cars. Exhibits include a Railroad Room, Agriculture room, Military room featuring the story of the St. Albans Raid (the northernmost land action of the Civil War), a historic classroom, an award-winning women's history display, a room dedicated to the Smith family who brought the RR to Saint Albans, local medical history, Underground RR/Black History, Abenaki archaeology, and more! We also host traveling exhibitions, arts performances, educational programs, and family-friendly activities. SAM is a 501(c)3 non-profit. Guided and self-paced tours are available.
